Kailash, the holy mountain that stands at the center of the Buddhist, Hindu, Bon and Jain universes, the earthly manifestation of Mount Meru, is the focus of journeys to western Tibet. To make a circumambulation (Kora) of Mount Kailash is to cleanse you of the sins of a lifetime. Manasarovar is an incredibly beautiful lake, usually cobalt blue, though it can turn into an angry, churning black during storms. The remote Kingdom of Guge was established following the 9th century breakup of the Yarlung Empire-the approach is along a rough, winding road through incredible gorges with the Ladakh Himalaya as backdrop. The town of Tsada is dramatically situated on cliffs above the Sutlej-here the monastery of Tholing and the nearby remains of the Guge capital at Tsaparang boast some of the most incredible Buddhist wall murals anywhere. Expeditions to this region can be more challenging than other areas-some driving days are long and the roads unpaved and dusty.

Trip Itinerary
Day 01: Kathmandu to Zhangmu via Kodari Border. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Zhangmu drive to Nyalam. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Excursion to Tong La for acclimatization by Jeep. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Nyalam drive to Saga. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05: Saga drive to Paryang. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06: Paryang drive to Manasarover. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 07: Manasarover drive to Dharchen (1 Hour). Overnight at tented camp or hotel.
Day 08: Trek Dharchen to Dira Phuk. Overnight at tented camp (Total Kora 52 Km).
Day 09: Trek Dira Phuk to Zutul Phuk. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 10: Trek Zutul Phuk to Dharchen. Transfer to Tirthapuri. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 11: Tirthapuri to Tsaprang (Toling). Overnight at tented camp.
Day 12: Tsaparang-sightseeing of Guge Kingdom. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Tsaparang to Manasarowar. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 14: Mansarowar to Paryang. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 15: Paryang drive to Saga. Overnight at hotel.
Day 16: Saga drive to Lhatse. Overnight at hotel.
Day 17: Lhatse drive to Shigatse. Overnight at hotel.
