Mount Annapurna expedition is one of the most popular expeditions in Nepal. It is located east of Kali Gandaki gorge cut through the Himalaya by the Kali Gandaki River which separates from the Dhaulagiri Massif. It is glaciers on western and northwestern slopes drain into this gorge. Annapurna expedition is seventh highest mountain in the world. Mt. Annapurna expedition (8091m) was first climbed by a French expedition Maurice Herzog and Luis Lachenal in 1950. There are four summits which is called Annapurna. The main summits Annapurna base camp/Annapurna sanctuary, Annapurna II is above Chame, about 24 km to the east.

Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1334 meters, Overnight at Kathmandu hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu for officially procedure and necessary arrangements.

Day 03: Kathmandu for officially procedure and necessary arrangements.

Day 04: Drive to Beni (823m). Overnight at Beni.

Day 05: Trek to Tatopani (1189m). Overnight at Tatopani.

Day 06: Trek to Ghasa (2012m). Overnight at Ghasa.

Day 07: Trek to Lete (2438m). Rest and change porters. Overnight in lodge.

Day 08: Trek to Thulo Bugin. Overnight at jungle camp.

Day 09: Trek to Thulo Bugin pass. Overnight at river camp.

Day 10: Trek to Mristi Khola. Overnight at river camp.

Day 11: Base Camp.

Day 12-47: Climbing period.

Day 48: Cleaning up base camp.

Day 49: Trek to Thulo Bugin. Overnight at Thulo Bugin.

Day 50: Trek to Lete. Overnight at Late.

Day 51: Trek to Tukuche. Overnight at Tukuche.

Day 52: Trek to Marpha / Jomsom. Overnight at Marpha/Jomsom.

Day 53: Fly Jomsom / Pokhara / Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 54: After breakfast, relaxing/shopping with own activities, evening farewell Dinner.

Day 55: Eco Trip Nepal representative will transfer to airport for onward destination.

Excluded

  • Nepal Visa fee (bring accurate USD cash and two passport photographs)
  • International airfare to and from Kathmandu
  • Excess baggage charges (if you have more than 20 kg luggage, cargo charge is around $1.5 per kg)
  • Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu because of early arrival, late departure, early return from mountain (due to any reason)
  • Altitude chamber (PAC) or oxygen
  • Lunch and evening meals in Kathmandu (and also in the case of early return from mountain than the scheduled itinerary)
